Oluwa7 — originally known as shotbytobi — was founded in 2021 by John, a DMV-based photographer, visual director, and storyteller.

The story starts earlier than 2021. It starts in 7th grade, an iPhone 5, and a natural instinct for making people feel seen through a lens. It became real the day his father handed him his first professional camera, shared Matthew 4:19 — "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men" — and told him simply: no more allowance. Make your own way.

Over the years, what began as a gift sharpened into a craft — refined through weddings and editorial shoots.

Today, Oluwa7 specializes in cinematic wedding photography for fashion-forward, effortless, iconic couples, helping them relive their love story through imagery that turns real moments into unforgettable art.
